The Qur’an Program
The Quran Program is a 4-year diploma program for students who want to learn the translation and commentary of the entire Quran. The course is based on authentic Hadith, classical sources of scholarly tafsir, and the lives and teachings of the virtuous believers who were the embodiment of the Quran. The emphasis is on understanding the depths of Quranic wisdom and to highlight spiritual insights and practical advice from the meanings of the Quran with the purpose of increasing our heartfelt connection with Allah.
There are two ways of studying in the Qur’an Program. Students must choose one:
1. Qur’an Program – Regular
Students will have full term access to pre-recorded classes of the Qur’an Program, with set dates for regular assessments each term, and have regular live discussions with teacher’s assistants and facilitators
Students will study a pre-recorded syllabus from Juz 1 (from surah Al-Fatihah to surah Al-Maidha), giving students flexibility in the time of day they listen to classes
Students can manage their weekly schedule according to their free time, and keep up-to-date with classes through the periodic assessments on set dates.
80% attendance requirement to be entered for the exam each term.
Assessments online during term time and finals at the end of term
Optional, supplementary courses such as Quranic Arabic, Hadith, Beginners’ Fiqh, Intro to Quranic Studies, Islamic Studies, Seerah, and Purification of the Heart [varies term to term].
Certificate upon successfully completing the tafsir program
Please note : Basic fluency in reading the Qur’an in Arabic is a requirement for enrollment in this program
2. Qur’an Program – Auditor
Suitable for students who want to only listen to Quran classes
No exam or attendance requirements
No assessments
Student will have On Demand access to audit the pre-recorded Qur’an Program classes.
No optional courses
No certificate is granted
There are no prerequisites for Auditor students
